Dark Nights: Death Metal #2 Heads Back to Print
Dark Nights: Death Metal Continues to Sell-Out Across All Titles
The fires of Dark Nights: Death Metal burn bright this summer as DC announces that the sold-out second issue of the hit miniseries from the epic team of Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo, Jonathan Glapion and FCO Plascencia will get a new, second printing! If you missed the second chapter of the wildest ride in the DC universe, additional copies will arrive in stores on August 25! Second printings of Dark Nights: Death Metal #3 and Dark Nights: Death Metal Legends of the Dark Knights #1 will also hit local comic book store shelves on August 25.
While SyFy Wire calls Dark Nights: Death Metal a “monumental opening gambit” and Black Nerd Problems declares it’s “absolute insanity on the page,” Polygon says “what keeps me coming back to Snyder and Capullo’s collaborations is their relentless hopefulness.” The excitement for Death Metal is palpable with CBR noting “just how savage Wonder Woman can be” and Newsarama praising “the unabashed energy of Dark Nights: Death Metal #1 is the sort of thing most event books would kill to emulate.”
Dark Nights: Death Metal #2 features the quiet, chilling beginning to the Robin King’s reign. Debuting in Dark Nights: Death Metal #2, once a mere groblin* but destined to be so much more (*read Dark Nights: Metal for more about the Batman Who Laughs’ crowing little robin goblins), the Robin King is one of Scott Snyder’s most frightening characters!
“He’s definitely one of our darkest creations, but I love him because I want the heroes to go up against something that says ‘Everything you believe people to be, everything you hope we are, we aren’t,'” Snyder told Newsarama. “I want to show that with the Batman Who Laughs and the Robin King.”
Dark Nights: Death Metal #2 Second Printing will feature a recolored version of the original cover by Capullo and Glapion, arriving in stores on August 25.
