Twitch Prime’s signature program, the Crown Cup, will be returning this Saturday, July 18 on the Crown Channel. This year’s edition, Crown Cup @Home, brings together comedians, top Twitch creators, and fans—each participating from their own homes—for stand-up comedy games and gaming challenges in Apex Legends.
Crown Cup @Home, hosted by Tim Kash of The IMDB Show, will feature celebrity guests including Sarah Silverman. During the show, a hilarious line-up of comedians including Adam Conover, Ron Funches, Erik Griffin, Brian Posehn, and Jenny Yang will team up with top Twitch creators including Nick Mercs, SypherPK, Goldglove, ChocoBars and Action Jaxon, plus six lucky Prime members, for some friendly competition—and a lot of trash talking—in Apex Legends. ChelseaBytes, the winner of Crown Channel’s unscripted competition series Chasing the Crown: Dreamers to Streamers, will also join the fun.
Like all Crown Channel programs, Crown Cup @Home is interactive, with real-time audience engagement. During the broadcast, up to 150 viewers will get a chance to play Apex Legends on a private server alongside the cast. Plus, Twitch extensions will let viewers cheer—or jeer—participants, and vote to affect the outcome of the show.
Available now, Prime members can also claim an exclusive Apex Legends skin—Pathfinder’s Swimming Buddy skin. Plus, the Mixtape gun charm will drop next week. Visit https://twitch.amazon.com/tp to claim both.
This is the third year for the Crown Cup. In 2018, celebrities including Kevin Smith and top streamers like Anthony Kongphan competed in PUBG. In 2019, Twitch Prime doubled down with back-to-back Crown Cup competitions in London and Las Vegas, featuring athletes, celebrities and streamers facing off in FIFA and Apex Legends.
Viewers can stream Crown Cup @Home this Saturday, July 18 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT by visiting www.twitch.tv/crown.
