The people of New Braunfels were given a heroic treat last weekend. Hill Country Comicon came to life with an amazing Headliner in its debut year. They impressed Comicon fans by reuniting voice actors from the 1990’s animated series the “X -Men”. The X-Men clearly stole the show for the Con. HCC still had plenty for their fans. Legendary voice actor Jim Cummings, the voice of Tiger, and Winnie the Pooh was also a strong draw for Comicon fans. HCC was loaded with voice acting Star power!

There were plenty of Cosplayers and kids dressed up as their favorite X-Men characters. Fans gushed with joy when voice actors recreated scenes from the TV series. HCC gave X-Men fans an opportunity to tell their favorite mutants what they truly meant to them. Cal Dodd (Wolverine) also confessed his new found love for Texas and Texans.
HCC’s main goal of their event was to empower kids to be Super. I believe they accomplished their goal. There were plenty of events for kids to play, learn and grow. They also promoted fun, art, literacy, and children’s imaginations. The Layout for vendors, special guests and Children’s activities were put together nicely. HCC maximized their space without compromising the enjoyment of the event.

From surveying the crowd you could tell this was a first time Comicon for a lot of families. Observing Comicon fans enjoy HCC with their children was a truly great experience. If these children become Con attendees of the future. HCC played a wonderful part ensuring the future of Comicon’s in Texas.

Hill Country Comicon is perfect for families with children. This is the place to go to share your fandem with your family. I look forward to seeing how far HCC can take it over the next few years. This could be the beginning of something beautiful for Comicon fans that want more of a family experience with their fandem.
Thank you to Hill Country Comicon
